Wouldn’t it be nice…

President Bush states, I’m a war president….I make decisions here in the Oval Office in foreign-policy matters with war on my mind. Wouldn’t it be nice if he made decisions in foreign-policy matters — heck, wouldn’t it be nice if he made decisions regarding domestic matters! — with the American people on his mind?

The War President

So right does President Bush feel the war on Iraq was — even though his reasons for sending your kids there keeps changing — that he is quietly working to reinstate the draft. Of course, he has no plans to fire it up until after the election.

California’s Budget Crisis: A Suggestion Regarding the Judiciary Budget
February 3rd, 2004 · 1 Comment
California’s budgetary crisis is so bad that even though we constantly complain about how clogged the courts are, indicating a need for a bigger court budget, the Governator has proposed to cut $70 million from the budget for California’s judiciary. Now there’s a novel idea that few kill-’em-or-at-least-lock-’em-up-and-throw-away-the-key Republicans have thought of until now: If […]

Stoop Low, Sweet Chariot
February 2nd, 2004 · No Comments
Just how low can the Republican party go to ensure winning an election? Body and Soul tells the story of how California Republicans dug up someone “who doesn’t even think of himself as a Green — talked him into running, and paid his fees to run as the Green Party candidate” in order to help […]
