A story over at New Patriot — I wish I’d seen it sooner — exemplifies why I (a non-Democrat) voted for an all-Democrat slate this year. The story is about an ABC News team that sent people wearing pro-Bush shirts into Kerry campaign rallies and people wearing pro-Kerry shirts into Bush rallies. The Bush campaign systematically removed people showing up with Kerry shirts, suggesting that they find their way to the nearest exit and saying “Maybe some law enforcement can help?”
As a comment left by another reader there summed up why I so strongly oppose Bush:
I liked this quote:
“And at Kerry’s Boca Raton rally, one of the faithful Democrats could be seen calming a woman upset at the sight of the Bush-Cheney T-shirts.
“Feel proud that we let them in,” he said. “That’s what democracy is all about, that’s what we’re fighting for.”

I’m going to miss freedom.
