As if I didn’t need another reason to hate homeowners’ associations, or to think Florida is a whacked-out state, this story provides reason for both.

Leave the guy and his house alone.

This is the sort of thing that should have us all inundating that homeowners’ association with mail. Someone should find the address. We can all send them messages with nothing else on them except the Merriam-Webster definition of “idiots.”

Near as I can tell, the only defense each individual officer of the homeowners’ association has against this is even worse: Greed.
