Well, PC Connection has apparently made it official. Employees are only off on weekends; during the week, your company owns you.

The current issue of “PCCONNECTION” — their (new to me) “premiere business publication…designed to provide state-of-the-art information” (there’s such a thing as state-of-the-art information???) — states:

[P]ersonal blogs should never be allowed on company servers or company time. That’s what weekends are for. [page 9 of PCCONNECTION]

This post, therefore, is apparently — what would you call it? — out of bounds (?), off-limits (?), unacceptable (?) because I wrote it on a Wednesday night, for posting on Thursday morning less than an hour before going to work!

Thank goodness I’m not working for PCConnection.
