I wasn’t going to post anything today because I haven’t been feeling good. But Bob posts a link to this story in one of his comments on my blog.
As the defense attorney, William Rapoport, noted:
They are being held hostage. They said several times we’re done and we can’t do this anymore.
It seems to me this case is flashing bright red neon signs that say, “This Case To Be Automatically Overturned On Appeal” if there is a conviction. And I don’t see how the court could do otherwise and expect anyone (even me) to maintain a respect for the law.
Personally, I think if the story, as reported, is true, the judge himself should be thrown in prison right now for contempt of the rule of law.

When your trashcan is on the sidewalk on collection day, are the contents covered under your right to privacy?
More importantly, can a state Supreme Court over rule the US Supreme Court?
