Well, I may be giving up on the new features of MovableType. For now, at least.
This morning, I upgraded to 3.11. The goal was to get the newest functionality, including the ability to allow commenters to post without intervention by me if they were registered.
Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to integrate that functionality without completely erasing all my template modifications.
So, for now, it looks like “sorta” have 3.11. That is, 3.11 is “installed,” but none of the new features work, because I haven’t time to figure out how to integrate new code into existing code.
WYSIWYG design capabilities might make things a little easier. For anyone considering a blog, unless you’re into figuring out code each time there’s an “upgrade,” you might want to stick with something like CityDesk™.
