I can’t figure this guy out yet over at Lex Communis. He seems somewhat intelligent, but the blog…it’s confusing. 😉
Nevertheless, I did find out something interesting from reading his stuff tonight. I discovered my Heinlein rating, I think.
You belong in The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. You
value freedom above all else. You would fight

Which Heinlein Book Should You Have Been A Character In?
brought to you by Quizilla
The one thing that still puzzles me, though…what the heck is a Winkola’s Way [Gauchista Fresno Law Student]??? (That’s how Peter lists me in his set of links. “> Maybe it’s got something to do with his Heinlein character???)

Elucidate. How am I confusing? A particular post? The eclectic mix of posts? The fact that I expressing positions that you’ve never heard expressed before? I can understand the confusion since I don’t simply recite pop catch-phrases as a priori truth propositions.
I am more than willing to discuss, and I’ve been known to modify my position since, as we know, the vehicle to truth is dialogue. [And, if I get recalled to teach Corporations, we might share this approach through the Socratic method, assuming you haven’t already had that pleasure with Ardaiz or Caeton.]

Well, partly (and I wasn’t clear about this, so it’s my fault), I was poking some good-natured fun.
However, one thing: How do you find posts there? I can’t, for example, locate one where you apparently mentioned the Winkola site.
I noticed you’re cross-linking to me now, as I am to you. How would you feel about utilizing icons for that? (See http://www.techstop.com/images/unspun150logo.jpg for the logo.)
Anyway, it’s now part of the record here: It was good-natured fun-poking from a flaming liberal site to what appears to be a more conservative site. 😉 Hopefully, folks will realize I consider the site important enough that it’s in my list of crosslinks on the side of the main pages for my site.

I’ve got you under the law section at the very bottom – under the section entitled “The Courthouse.” Send me your e-mail and I can share notes with you about blog development.

After I posted the above comment, I opened the rest of your post. I see that you see where I have you listed so I am confused about your confustion.
FYI “gauchista” is my shorthand for “left of center.” It seems more inclusive than “liberal” or “leftist.” Part of the trick with blogging – and business development – is niche identification. People got to be drawn to your site based in some part on where they can fit you in in their conceptual universe. You want, maybe, to draw the law interested folks, and you have a better chance of doing that if you stand out in some way.
By the way, I am obviously right of center. I fit somewhere between a Heinlein libertarian and a Commentary Neoconservative. On the other hand, I am National Review conservative because I favor drug decriminalization and a Wall Street Journal conservative because I favor immigration and a Catholic conservative because I am prudentially opposed to the death penalty. So the map is not the territory.

It was partly the “gauchista” I was confused by. Near as I can tell, it either means “anarchist/communist” or else it means “gauchista.” 😉
I’d be neither an anarchist—being a big proponent of the rule of law—nor a communist since I value creature comforts too much.
And I put you a little more than “right of center”, but I figure I haven’t read enough of your stuff yet to make any good determination. So I slog on. (Or is that, blog on?)

Have you heard of, and/or are you a member of, Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, International? Just asking because your name came up tonight in an officers’ meeting.
I’m not sure WHO brought it up and mentioned your blog. 😉
