W[h]ither the First Amendment

Whither and wither sound the same, but mean different things.

Not to worry. The Republican Party has all bases covered.

Few people know that one of the primary aims of the First Amendment was to protect the right — the supposedly unalienable right — to protest. Think about it: freedom to assemble, freedom of speech, freedom of the press. Why do we need these?  Why were they explicitly protected?

Because without these freedoms, the government can silence protestors, limit freedom, maintain the illusion that the Republican Party is God’s Own Party.

Perhaps this is why Sarah Palin was selected. As governor of “one of the refuge states” (a refuge in the End Times), she’s perfectly suited to carry God’s banner to the Whitehouse.
