On my way to work in the morning I listen to National Public Radio. Thursday there was a piece on the "Friday News Dump." <a>NPR reports</a> that apparently the practice of saving unpleasant and/or unflattering news for a late Friday afternoon release has been going on for some time. Seeing as how this administration has had a plethora of the above-referenced news, I would imagine Bush and company has honed the "dump" to a fine edge. All the better for slicing and dicing the only the information they want us hear and see into a neat little sanitized package. Bob

Part of me doesn?t even blame Bush: he is a lying, treacherous weasel with only the interests of himself and his cronies in mind. His job is to make the wealthy wealthier, and he?s doing a fine job of it. That we as Americans not only encourage him to take money out of our pockets, but cheer him on while he does so, is only our own fault. Anyway, thank you for all your encouragement. It was announced on the Friday before a three day weekend. There would be few people available to interview and it would be more difficult to check facts. Just additional manipulation and damage control, perhaps by Rove himself?
