Karl Rove: “There Ought To Be An Adult”

Posted by RickH · September 15th, 2008 · No Comments

You know things are getting out of hand when the Sleazemeister says things have gone too far.  Rove states that both candidates were guilty, noting that McCain had attributed things to Obama “that are, you know, beyond the ‘100 percent truth’ test.”  When a victim of truthophobia accuses you like this, you know you’re in trouble.

CBS News notes,

McCain has been the aggressor in this slide to negativity and it’s putting pressure on Obama to respond. Either way, this is not the elevated discussion both candidates promised to deliver.

McCain, though, has an explanation:

McCain said last week that he thinks the tone of the campaign would be different had Obama agreed to appear with him in town hall meetings across the country.

O, ‘Bama!  If only you’d done what McCain had demanded.  Don’t you see what you’ve done to the country?  What kind of leader will you make when you force those who run against you to lie in the attempt to defeat you?
